Recipes & Resilience is a collection of stories about displaced people and the food that feels like home. As part of my work for a global non-profit organisation, I explored the pivotal role of food in the integration journey and it’s power to create a sense of home, enabling people to embrace and maintain their cultural identity.
The book features displaced people and families from Syria, Palestine and Afghanistan showcasing dishes and recipes that hold certain significance for them. I had the privilege of going to their homes, hearing their stories, trying their food and documenting the experience.
